Museum Ventura County

My first real involvement with the Museum of Ventura County came in 1999 when we purchased the Pierpont Inn which had been in my grandmother’s sister’s family for 70 years.  We made extensive use of the Museum’s library to reproduce photos chronicling the Inn’s place in the history of Ventura County.

As a past board member (and current committee member) of the Museum, I continue to support the Museum’s efforts.  The rich history of pioneer families is captured in the Museum’s archives and as a fourth generation Venturan that is important to me and my family.

My most recent project to help raise funds for the Museum was the digitization of one of my aunt’s albums that contains photos of many county residents.  More information on Jean’s Album can be found in the tab to the left.

Please visit the Museum’s website for more information.  If you are not already  a member, I hope you will consider joining.

I invite you to download Jean Snodgrass Lefever’s album.
